Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Business (Administration) - CBA is a qualification that is designed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. It gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare themselves for further study in business and management. The qualifications also provide career development opportunities through professional qualifications (such as, ACCA, CIMA) and academic qualifications (such as, LLB, BBA). Consequently it can provide a course of study for full-time or part-time learners at BiMS.

The 720 Guided Learning Hour (12 units) Edexcel BTEC National Certificate in Business-Administration (CBA) provides a specialist workr-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the appropriate vocational sector. CBA offers flexibility and a choice of emphasis through the specialist units. It is broadly equivalent to two GCE A-Levels. The qualification offers an engaging programme for those who are clear about the area of employment that they wish to enter. These learning programmes can be developed to allow learners at BiMS to study complementary qualifications without duplication of content.

Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Business (Administration) - CBA offered by BiMS is equivalent to 2 GCE A-Levels and can be completed within 12 months. In order to successfully pass this qualification, BiMS students are required to successfully complete all of the following twelve units:

   5) Human Resource Management in Business
   6) Introduction to Accounting
   7) Starting a Small Business
   8) Working in Administration

 12) Exploring Business and the Economic Environment

The 360 guided learning hours (GLH) (usually six units) BTEC National Award offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the appropriate vocational sector. The BTEC National Award is especially suitable for more SSC/O-Level graduates, who wish to follow a shorter programme of study directly related to their work experience or to bachelor degree programme.

BTEC National Award in Business (NAB) is also awarded by edexcel-UK. National Award offered by BiMS is equivalent to 1 GCE A-Level and can be completed within 6 months. In order to successfully pass this qualification, BiMS students are required to complete following six units:

   1) Exploring Business Activity
   2) Investigating Business Resources
   3) Introduction to Marketing.
   4) Effective People, Communication and Information
   5) Human Resource Management in Business
   6) Introduction to Accounting

Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Nationals in Business have been developed in the business sector to focus on:

	education and training for employees working in administration, marketing, human resources, accounting, ICT and the legal and management areas of business
	providing opportunities for employees working in administration, marketing, human resources, accounting, ICT and the legal and management areas of business to achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 vocationally specific qualification
	giving learners the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the business sector or to progress to higher education vocational qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 5 Higher National in Business/Accounting
	giving learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.
